Spring Warm-Up Show Joins AHHSF Adult Amateur Driving Challenge Series
INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – February 6, 2012
The fourth annual IASHA Spring Warm-Up Show, sponsored UPHA Chapter 11 and the Indiana American Saddlebred Horse Association, will be ready to roll at C Bar C Expo Center, March 16-18, in Cloverdale, Indiana.
The show provides an ideal early venue for exhibitors to debut new teams, as well as to test drive seasoned veterans, at a first class yet affordable event. The exhibitor friendly schedule begins with a Friday evening session at 7pm, March 16, concluding Sunday afternoon, March 18. Barbe Smith, New Orleans, LA, will judge all divisions
Management is pleased to announce that the Spring Warm-Up has been approved as an AHHS Foundation Adult Amateur Driving Challenge show for 2012. In addition to long tail, cob tail, roadster and pleasure driving divisions, the show has added three new classes this year: Hackney Pony Junior Exhibitor Pleasure Driving, Hackney Pony Park Pleasure Driving and Roadster Pony Junior. The Spring Warm-Up is a participating show in the Equine Services Roadster Cup series for both horses and ponies and is approved by Tri-State, Mid-America, IASHA, IASPHA and OASPHA. The show offers separate Hackney pleasure and country pleasure driving sections, as well as a road pony under saddle class for the junior exhibitors.
The Spring-Warm-Up is one of the fastest growing shows in the Midwest, with last year’s edition attracting top stables from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kentucky and Missouri. Held at the C Bar C Expo, the former Crossroads Arena, the Warm-Up has been a big hit with exhibitors and trainers alike. Located only 25 miles west of Indianapolis, this newer, heated, indoor show facility features 400 stalls, a large show arena, full size make-up ring, seating area, ringside tables, concessions and vendor space all under one roof. Under new ownership in 2012, the facility has received several upgrades in recent months. Holiday Inn Express Cloverdale and the Inn At DePauw (Walden Inn) in Greencastle will again be horse show headquarters hotels.
Exhibitors will appreciate the Spring Warm-Up’s Hoosier hospitality and friendly management, highlighted by the gala St. Patrick’s Day Exhibitor Party following Saturday evening’s show. The UPHA Chapter 11 Academy Club will once again host its popular special receptions for riders, instructors and parents after the academy sessions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
Entries close March 1 with post entries accepted. However, management encourages exhibitors to reserve stalls and ringside tables early – tables sold out in 2010 and 2011.
