Programs Overview

  • AHHS National Pony Futurity

    Our national futurity is held each July in Columbus, Ohio.  This program allows hand ponies and young driving ponies to compete for large cash prizes.

  • Youth Medallion

    Our Youth Medallion program is a nation-wide program that allows young people to compete in various classes for prestigious medallions and ultimately scholarship money.

  • Limited Breeders' Weanling Stakes

    Our Limited Breeders Sweepstakes features a stallion service fee auction where the offspring from purchased service fees can compete for large cash prizes.

  • Adult Amateur Driving Challenge

    The purpose of this program is to promote the showing of the older Hackney ponies, by amateurs, at smaller shows in a designated tri-state area (Ohio, Michigan and Indiana).

  • Open Competition

    Open Competition High-Point Award program was designed to acknowledge and honor the achievements of Hackney horses and ponies who compete in events against all breeds.

  • UPHA-Classics

    The Classics are for ponies who are four-years-old and under who compete as Hackney (cob tail), harness (long tail), roadster or pleasure divisions.

  • AHHS National Horse Futurity

    This program is for Hackney horse breeders to compete with their young stock.

  • Hoosier Futurity

    This is a regional futurity program based in Indiana.  It's currently held early in September in Indianapolis.

  • Michigan Futurity

    Michigan's regional futurity program is currently held in the middle of July in Midland, Michigan.

  • Mid-West Futurity

    This is traditionally the highest paying futurity in the country.  It's held early in August as part of the Illinois State Fair.

  • Ohio Futurity

    Information on this futurity will be posted when it becomes available.

  • South Central Futurity

    Held at the Alexandria Kentucky Fair on Labor Day weekend, this futurity features young ponies from weanlings to three-year-olds.
